The Stars & Spangles Memorial Day Art & Craft Show will take place at The Foltz Pottery Shop on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 10am – 3pm with a short Memorial Day service beginning at 9:45am. The show will be hosted by the Foltz Folklife Foundation (Foltz Folklife), a 501(c)3 organization helping to educate, preserve, and promote folk art and folklife in our community.

The Stars & Spangles Memorial Day Art & Craft Show will be a day of community celebration featuring talented artists who make pottery, painted tin garden decorations and tinware, papercuttings, folk painting, paper mache, and woodworking. We will also be serving a delicious complimentary lunch where we will be collecting donations and selling homemade baked goods.

By joining the Foltz Folklife Foundation at this special show you are helping bring back one the most loved shows in the Foltz Pottery history. We’ll also be having a brief Memorial Day service at 9:45 to remember and honor the service men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. Immediately following the service, the show will officially kick off at 10am.

All proceeds from this event will go to help fund our student and artist scholarships and our other initiatives.

Artists include: Ned Foltz, redware pottery; Karen Hurd, tinsmith; Frances Foltz, folk art; Mike Brown, paper mache and chalkware; Mary and Steve Petlitz, painted tinware and garden art; Pam Hults, paper cuttings; and Jim Murphy, painted furniture and tree birds. The Folk Folklife Foundation will also have a small museum display highlighting our folk art museum initiative.
